L’impeto di un sussurro. La dolcezza della catastrofe.

Il progetto Scat nasce all’inizio del 1998 a Torino.
Nessun manifesto di genere. Ne’ la volontà di inserirsi in un mainstream, e neanche quella di far a tutti i costi musica alternativa: solo la ricerca della propria espressività.

Il repertorio iniziale si e’ sviluppato tra rock, blues e psichedelia. Sono di questo periodo i demo con i quali abbiamo calcato le scene locali i palchi del Sud Italia. Nel 2005 la fotografia di una transizione si concretizza nella autoproduzione del CD “La Vita Regolata Dal Caso”.

Negli ultimi due anni, che vedono l’allontanarsi della voce del gruppo, la strada intrapresa segue l’attitudine strumentale emersa gia’ ne “La Vita Regolata dal Caso”, giunge alla produzione dell’ultima release: “Il Muro Dopo Nagasaki”. Il titolo dell’album simboleggia il superamento della fase di ricerca e la solidità di un approccio strumentale più consapevole, una narrazione più attuale, a tinte scure.

Otto tracce in cui melodie graffianti dalle sonorità non convenzionali si alternano ad un cantato onirico, libero da facili schemi.

The project Scat born in 1998 in Turin.
Neither the wish to be part of a mainstream, nor to play absolutely alternative music: only the search for its expressiveness. No kind of “manifesto”.

Their initial repertoire was influenced by rock, blues and psychedelic. The auto-production of 3 demo tapes and many live in Turin and the south of Italy have characterised the first years. In 2005, the photo of a transition concrete itself in a CD titled “La Vita Regolata dal Caso”.Three songs of this release are available on Myspace.

Over the past two years, which have seen the leaving of the heading vocal of the group, the research followed the instrumental attitude emerged already ‘in “La Vita Regolata dal caso ” and comes to the production of their new release: ”The Wall After Nagasaki.” This title symbolizes the overcoming of this long research trough a more aware for an instrumental approach, with black soundness and more current narration.

Eight tracks in which scratching soundness alternate itself with novel melodies and dreamy singing free from easy schemes.
